The CWJC Jazz Scholarship for Women is an award open to emerging women instrumental musicians who wish to continue their studies in jazz after high school. Applicants can be between 16 and 30 years old and be continuing their jazz studies through private lessons or at a recognized Canadian post-secondary music program with opportunities for continued studies in jazz. The scholarship is administered and awarded by Calgary Women’s Jazz Collective Society.

The value of the scholarship is $1000 and can be applied to expenses related to continued jazz studies.

This is a great opportunity for students who are female, identify as female, or are non-binary individuals to access funding that will help them pursue their artistic goals. The deadline to apply is 11:59 pm, Friday, July 31st, 2026. Applicants must submit a short video recording. You can download the forms below.

An adjudication jury will review all the submissions, and the successful candidate is intended to be announced at our annual Scholarship concert in Fall of 2026.
